Weakened and toothless, poor Tigré is battling to recover!

1. He was seriously injured!

Tigre is a cat of at least 14 years old, who had to undergo surgery twice for a hernia between his hind leg and abdomen. His intestines were protruding and a specialized clinic had to intervene to keep them in place...

Today, even though he's faring better on that front, he's still very weakened and suffering from a thickened colon.

2. He can no longer chew...

With age, Tigre has lost all his teeth. Eating kibble has therefore become impossible for him!

3. Canned food would help him recover

Wet food specially designed for older cats would be easier for Tigre to ingest and digest than kibble.

Such canned food would be perfect for him to efficiently replenish his vitamins, minerals and proteins after the surgery he underwent.

4. The bills are mounting up!

Recently, we have had some very heavy cases, with animals that have required numerous veterinary treatments. All of this has been particularly costly!

Not to mention that one of the shelter's walls has collapsed (thankfully, no cats were injured). Repairing it will incur nearly £2,900 in costs! Hence, continuing to feed our 170 charges is becoming very financially complicated...
