Weakened by a gut disease, poor Perle isn't doing well...

1. A chronic illness causes her to suffer from diarrhoea…

Perle is a female cat of around 12 years old, who is suffering from IBD, a chronic inflammatory disorder of the intestines. She continually suffers from diarrhoea, has lost weight and her fur has turned dull… Therefore, her condition requires regular follow-up and treatment.

2. Canned food would help her recover

A specially-formulated wet food designed to be gentle on the intestines would be easier for Perle to digest than kibble. Such canned food would be perfect to effectively replenish her with vitamins, minerals and proteins. This could help her maintain her condition, despite the disease.

3. The bills are piling up!

Recently, we have dealt with some very serious cases, with animals that required extensive veterinary care. All of this has been particularly costly!

On top of that, one of the walls of the shelter collapsed (fortunately, none of the moggies were injured). The repair will incur costs of nearly €2,900! Hence, continuing to feed our 170 wards is becoming very financially challenging…
