Mouth ulcers, missing teeth, gum inflammation: poor Fiona has calicivirus!

1. She can no longer eat dry food...

Fiona is a 13-year-old cat, who was found as a youngster in a box in the forest. Afflicted with a chronic calicivirus, she has ulcers in her mouth.

Her gums were so inflamed that we had to remove all of her teeth to alleviate her suffering. As a result she can no longer eat dry food, since she can't chew!

2. To regain strength safely, she needs suitable canned food

A moist and easily ingestible diet would be most suitable for Fiona. By helping her stay hydrated and providing her with daily nutrients, such food would help her remain healthy, despite her age and illness.

3. New cats have arrived...

Recently, I had to take in cats found on the motorway, one of which is blind. With nearly a score of felines to manage, I'm starting to get overwhelmed!
